Receiving and Responding to a Corporate Data Request
1. Receive the Email Notification
When a customer sends you a corporate data request, you receive an email notification at the registered contact address with:
The requesting company name
The reporting year for which data is requested
Any comments from the customer
A link to respond to the request
2. Access the Corporate Data Portal
Click the link in the email (or navigate directly to the Product Ecosystem platform)
Log in to your organization account
You'll land on the Corporate Data page
3. View Your Requests
The Corporate Data page has two tabs:
Dashboard Tab:
Shows an overview of your corporate data across different years
Displays cards for:
Sustainability Performance: Training status, certifications, SBTi alignment
GHG Emissions: Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions data
Targets & Actions: Reduction targets and climate initiatives
Active Requests: Summary of pending data requests
Requests Tab:
Lists all corporate data requests you've received
Shows a table with columns:
Reporting Year: The year for which data is requested
Requesting Company: Which customer is asking for the data
Request Status: "New Request" for incoming requests
Comments: Any notes from the customer
Created At: When the request was sent
Status: REQUESTED, ANSWERED, REJECTED, or CANCELED

Actions: Buttons to Share or Decline
4. Respond to a Request
You have three options:
Option A: Share Existing Data
If you already have data for the requested year, click "Share"
Review the data that will be shared in the confirmation dialog
Optionally provide allocation information (what percentage of your emissions should be allocated to this customer and the methodology used)
Click "Confirm" to share
Option B: Fill Out Data First, Then Share
Click "Share" on a request
If you don't have complete data, you'll be redirected to the data entry form
Fill out the corporate data form with sections for:
Sustainability Information: Certifications, training, SBTi status, sustainability reports
GHG Emissions: Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions with breakdown details
Targets: Reduction targets and climate action initiatives
The system includes a prefill feature that can automatically populate data from publicly available sources (you can review and modify prefilled data)
Save your data (it's stored but not shared yet)
Return to the Requests tab and click "Share" again
Confirm to send the data to your customer
Option C: Decline the Request
Click "Decline" if you cannot or do not wish to provide the data
Provide a reason for declining
The customer will be notified of your decision
5. Update Allocation Data
When sharing, you can specify:
Allocation Percentage: What portion of your total emissions should be attributed to this customer relationship
Allocation Methodology: How you calculated this allocation (e.g., revenue-based, spend-based, physical allocation)
This helps the customer understand how your corporate emissions relate to the specific products or services they purchase from you.
6. Track Your Response
After responding:
The request status updates to "ANSWERED" (if shared) or "REJECTED" (if declined)
The "Available Data" column shows the completeness percentage of your shared data
The "Allocation Data" column displays your allocation percentage and methodology
You can update your data and reshare if needed
